April 16, 2015, Amherst, MA – After a long weather delay to the start of the Spring season, Lasting Legacy commenced its tournament program with great success at UMASS last weekend. The snow on the side of the water-based turf was testament to the somewhat stop start nature of our pre-season practices but despite the limited preparation our U12 Squalls, U14 Storm and U16 Tempests all won their pools with decisive victories. All three teams were undefeated with U14 Storm scoring 21 goals in 4 games.
Our U14 Gales and U19 Beacons also competed well. Lasting Legacy fared best of the three Long Island clubs represented and whom we faced in the tournament. This success reflects the talent that Lasting Legacy attracts to the club, both in players and coaches.
The venue at UMass was great and kudos to the UMass player umpires for a job well done. All in all a good start for Legacy to the 2015 season and now, everyone is hungry for more in the upcoming Spring tournaments.
