USAFH 2023 Junior Nexus Championship Selections

Virginia Beach, Va  July 2023 – USA Field Hockey selected 3 Lasting Legacy players to compete in the 2023 Junior Nexus Championship, that will take place this July in Virginia Beach, Va. This selection marks the completion of the regional Selection Camp sessions from nine regions across the country and the next step in the Olympic Development Pathway and tryout process for the Junior U.S. National Teams.

The Junior Nexus Championship will take place in July for various age groups at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. At the conclusion of the Junior Nexus Championship, top performing athletes in each age group will be invited to participate in the 2023 AAU Junior Olympic Games and additional Junior National Team selection opportunities.

U14 Tempests GK, Olivia Ketterhagen (Carle Place) and Emily Racich (Garden City) were among the 3 U14 long island players selected.  Emily was selected as an alternate.

U16 Storm, Jenn Roller (Garden City) was the only U16 long island player selected.
