U16 Storm continue with their perfect record at JPOL!

May 1st, 2016, Rider University, NJ : What was an excellent five from five has now become the Magnificent Seven from seven.

That’s right, in the strongest field hockey league in Jersey it’s the Long Island interlopers who are sitting nicely at the top of the table on 21 points from a possible 21. Some of our games have been fairly easy but that is never true when we play Total Dutch, a club with a very similar approach to our free flowing game, and Sundays tight encounter was no different. Indeed it could have gone either way and only a brilliantly executed Kirsten special, and some stout defending when it was needed edged a tight game that Storm just about deserved to win.

Game two was certainly no easier, and saw another old rival in Jersey Intensity. A 2-0 lead at half time was somewhat flattering and the second half which saw a more controlled performance still kept Kate on her toes.

Two great wins in a fine day for Lasting Legacy hockey. Well done to all the players, now we look forward to the next round that sees two big upcoming games against FCU and Princeton.
